From November 19 to 20, 2018, IEET professional accreditation team visited the School of Software Engineering of South China Normal University for accreditation.
In this visit, the expert team held talks with alumni representatives, industry representatives, school deans, student representatives, school functional divisions, etc, and retrieved the supporting materials. The expert team visited Nanhai campus library, internet center, integrated laboratory and teaching sites, and made a comprehensive evaluation of the operational situation of the software engineering major. Finally, the accreditation expert team announced the opinions on professional accreditation, affirmed the effectiveness of software engineering professional construction, and put forward constructive suggestions.
IEET (Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan) was established in 2003. It is a non-official, non-profit corporate association, which became a member of Washington Accord in 2007. IEET accreditation is a non-government, peer-review process with a student-outcomes based orientation to assure professional education quality. The purpose of the accreditation is to promote engineering and technology education. IEET mainly focuses on accreditation on engineering education programs.
